The Department of Biological Sciences has welcomed a new academic member of staff, Dr. Matthew Kittelberger, from the USA. Dr. Kittelberger is a Fulbright Scholar who will be in the department for about one year and will be responsible for Cells and Microscopy, Animal Physiology and Biochemistry courses. Representative from Japan’s Research Institute for Humanity and Nature visits Faculty of Science

 The faculty of Science, through the Department of Biological Sciences is in research collaboration with the Research Institute for Humanity and Nature, Japan. On 8th January 2015, Prof. Tetsu SATO visited the Faculty to work on a research proposal to be submitted to JICA. The two sides also worked on an MOU, which is being finalized for signing. Apart from work the team took time to pay a courtesy call to the College Principal and to the Vice Chancellor; and had a chase to visit the proposed study sights in Mangochi.  

Faculty of Science re-introduces Research Seminars

  In a bid to disseminate research findings or receive comments and constructive criticism, the Faulty of Science has with effect from January 2015 re-introduced research seminars.
